MONO's 'Dec-a-Doughnut Competition - Fun For All The Family!

To help celebrate the Silvery Anniversary of the UK's National Doughnut Week, sponsored by CSM Bakery Solutions, in aid of The Children's Trust, MONO Equipment is running a 'decorate a doughnut' competition.  Simply let your imagination and creativity flow and send us a pic of the results! Mono guarantees to donate £500 to The Children’s Trust at the end of the competition.

 

Great! How do I Enter the Competition?

Simply decorate a doughnut, which can be either home-made or shop-bought, in whatever design you fancy.  Take a photo on your phone or digital camera and submit it to MONO, along with your contact details, using the upload facility on our website.  It’s as simple as that.

Images must be no larger than 5mb and be in jpg format.

 

Who can Enter?

Any member of the public can enter the competition, and parents or legal guardians must submit their children’s decorated doughnut photos on their behalf.  Entry is FREE and is open to UK residents only.

Entry to the competition is limited to one entry per person. Multiple entries will be disqualified as will automated entries, bulk entries or third party entries.

Do NOT send actual doughnuts to us as they will not be entered into the competition.

 

What Can I Win?

The prize will be as superb Bear Teddy 5 Litre Planetary Mixer, kindly supplied by Bear Varimixer, worth almost £1,200.  This highly versatile, professional table top mixer comes complete with a beater, whip, hook and guard.

The lucky winner will also be invited to visit MONO Equipment in Swansea, S Wales, to pick up their prize and to take a tour of our manufacturing facilities along with a demonstration of doughnut making by our Master Baker in our very own Test Bakery (*1).  Naturally, children under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

                                                 

 

How Long do I Have to Create my Doughnut?

The competition will run from 29 April and all entries must be submitted and uploaded to our website by 5pm on Monday 23 May.

 

What Are The Judges Looking For?

When judging the decorated doughnuts we will be looking at the following criteria@

  1. Overall design
  2. Creativity used in the design – use of colours, textures etc
  3. Originality of design – something new

The judges’ decision if final and no correspondence will be entered in to.

 

How Will I be Notified if I have won?

Winners will be notified by email and their winning doughnut photograph posted on our website.
